Gonna fix it all up properly at home?

Yeah, I mostly just got it so I can use it to get home.

[He leans back now, stretching a little. His bruises still look bad since he stopped icing them to do his work so just. Gonna grab the ice pack, which is probably a little melted by now, and put it back up to his face.]

I can fly you back home if you'd rather not chance it.

[That and he could always walk through the sewers if he wants to be safe.]

[She says with a little smile.]

Like I've said, I've had worst.

[His tone is flat, but there is a bit of mirth to it.]

Uh huhn, course you have tough guy.

[She teases and tickles his side a little.]

[A little yelp escapes him at being tickled.]

I have, I lasted in a fight that took three days after all.

[She goes from tickling him to hugging him.]

Three days?? Damn. When was that?

[Don't mind the little wince at being hugged, mostly from his bruises then anything else.]

Can I ask...like, what happened?

I mean, sure? It wasn't anything special, just fighting a crazed living dark armour that would have destroyed humanity if we didn't fight it.

[You know, just normal things.]

Aw well thank you for kicking it's ass and saving all of humanity.

[She says and cuddles him, funny thing is though she's being totally sincere as she says this.]

Well, it wasn't just me fighting i--

[Oh, this is happening. The cuddling, sure. He can deal.]

You shouldn't downplay yourself like that. [She says softly as she continues to cuddle him gently.]

It wasn't just you fighting but that doesn't mean you weren't doing anything, you were there and you kicked butt.

Well yes. But I also shouldn't downplay what my brothers did too, you know?

[He is totally fine with sharing the credit for the first win against the Shredder.]

Oh I'm sure you all kicked butt, that's what a team does, but you do this thing where you kind of like...put their efforts before yours. You're smart and a good fighter Donnie.

I know, I know that.

[Just he didn't get into the whole mystic powers until later, so maybe he feels he's a bit behind his brothers. But let us not get into his insecurities here.]

Anyway, enough about that! Uhm, how about more ice cream?

[Go go subject change, as he's going to try to reach for his spoon on the table, while also making sure his battle shell is out of the way and yeah.]

[When he leans forward to get the spoon and move his battle shell she once again looks at his actual shell.]

So you mentioned that your real shell is softer than other types of turtle shells...does that mean it's also more sensitive?

[soft_shelled]

I... Don't think so? I do know it's not as sturdy as a normal turtle shell, which is why I made the battle shell.

[Honestly he couldn't tell if it is or isn't more sensitive since he's always been a soft shell and has nothing else to compare it to.]

Can I touch it?

[That is... Certainly a request. Not even his brothers touch it, at least not without good reason, so the question takes him by surprise.]

[He can't hide that this is kind of awkward, but he's doing his best.]

[She leans closer to his shell, looking at it for a moment longer before placing a finger up near the top and running it delicately down the length of it.]

Oooh. It feels kind of like my jacket....

[It's certainly something, he lets out a slight "meep" at her running her finger down his back.]

I-it does?

[He never considered that, then again it's not like he's touching leather jackets and making comparisons.]

Yeah it's thick but smooth and kind of soft.

[She swirls her finger down in a loop and back up.]

Does that tickle or feel weird for you?
