I mean, growing up in a sewer with just your fam can make you a little intrigued in socializing, or in Donnie's case, just school.

[He coughs innocently into his hand.] Yeah, Dee, why were you arrested for?

[Deflection? Absolutely.]

And he sees that deflection Leo! Also he doesn't feel too bad about what he did soooo.]

Burned a town down, basically. At least it's not as dumb as what Leo got arrested for.

...oh you were both arrested for separate things. That's...more story than I was expecting. And what do you mean you burned a town down?

[Bucky was expecting public defacement or some mild robbery, normal kid stuff. He's still maybe adjusting his expectations for these two.]

I was blamed for a series of robberies at a spa. It was pinned on me! I was framed! By evil hair! I didn't burn down a town unlike some people!

[Bucky sure signed up for something by parenting these two.]

[Bucky didn't verbally call Donnie out on that dodge, but Bucky looked at him with narrowed eyes, enough to make it clear that he saw it happen. He'll come back to it when he's ready.]

Okay. It usually takes about half an hour for stir fry. Is that enough time to ask for a proper explanation on "evil hair"?

[He throws his hands melodramatically in the air, the picture of teenage drama.

Look, I just wanted to go to a nice spa resort, but they wouldn't let me in without hair. So, some guy at the worse no hair having spa did like something so I'd grow hair! Evil hair science! The hair was evil and alive on my head, and anytime I took a nap it'd drag me along to steal people's stuff!

[Hey as long as he doesn't have to explain how he angered a demon that led to Witch Town basically being destroyed? He'll avoid it.

And he only knew a few detail about Leo's situation, so hearing the whole story? Hilarious, don't mind the chuckle from Donnie at Leo's story.]

[Bucky couldn't stop a laugh at the interaction, or Donnie's response in general, before turning on the oven and taking out some pans to keep cooking.]

I'm sure there was a...very good reason to burn a city to the ground. Whatever it was. But we don't have to talk about it if you two really don't want to. It'd be hypocritical of me to ask you to talk like that.

...though in hindsight maybe I should tell you more so you don't think I have whatever a "gimp suit" is, in my closet.

You sure, town destroyer? [Leo needles him vaguely back out of habit.

Though Leo is suitably distracted by that new topic coming up.] ...It would be nice to know what is up with that suit, yeah. The weird evil guys put you in it, right?

There wasn't, it was an accident. [He says as he glares at Leo and his comments.

As to Bucky saying he should tell them more? Donnie is all for it.]

That or get a lock for your room to keep Leo out, if you don't feel like talking about it.

[He shook his head a little, snorting.] I don't need a lock, I don't mind either of you coming or going from in there if you need to. Just...there's a lot that's ugly in my past. A lot of things I'm not sure...you guys should know about. But it might still be important if you do. I don't know. It's all a lot.

[Leo sticks out his tongue somewhat at Donnie, but doesn't chase the topic. His brother is freed from Leo trying to prod him about it for now.]

[Bucky's movements perhaps slowed, a bit, as he was frowning, looking more thoughtful than he had before. Maybe even rather troubled for a moment, before shaking his head somewhat.]

Someday, maybe. But...the suits are a good enough place to start. That one I had was just the one I happened to be wearing when I showed up here, but there were others, and they all were made of the same sort of material. There were different ones depending on the mission...urban camo, heavier cover for cold weather work, things like that. They didn't all...look like that one. That was just...well.

[Bucky let out something of a sound...not quite a sigh, just a tired exhale.] That one was a favorite of my handlers, is all.

[makesascene]

[The implication doesn't completely settle over Leo as he listens to Bucky speak. He kind of just frowns in turn. He doesn't understand, but the feeling he's getting makes his skin crawl a little.] Like... you had different outfits for different reasons? That's weird.

[That last part does a fair job of making Leo click his teeth together.] Oh. That's...

[A lot of the good humor from earlier is gone now.]

[The fact that there are different suits for different situations doesn't seem odd to Donnie, he kind of gets it. Kind of like how he has different battle shells, if he makes the comparison.

But the implications of the last part of what Bucky says is just...] Eugh.

[Bucky grimaced, continuing his work with the cooking, keeping his eyes averted.]

There's...I hadn't been growing out my hair when I got here either. It's a tactical nightmare, really, you shouldn't be sending your assassin out with long hair that's going to be constantly in the way, but...

[He was really, really, really avoiding eye contact.]

Again. It was a preference I was set to.

A... preference you were set to-? [Leo echoes uncertainly back, just awkwardly folding his arms over his chest. He balls up the wrapper of his own snack, trying to do something with his hands to feel better.]

Like a machine... [It's the only comparison Donnie can make that fits this situation, as he fidgets with his empty chip bag.

That and Leo's asking the good questions before he can.]

[Bucky nodded a little.] I was just a weapon. ...not even a weapon. Just...a tool for them to...use.

[He took a deep breath before finally looking back to them.] None of that matter anymore in a sense that...it's not happening anymore. It's not something I worry about anymore. But...it's kind of...always going to be there, too. So there might be weird...things. Sometimes.
